The Chip Node is a special node that represents the RoboPad itself. In its default configuration, the Chip Node has two input ports - &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;M1&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;M2&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; that drive the [[IO Config Editor#IO Units|Built-in H-Bridge]] that drives the [[:File:Screenshot from 2022-11-06 23-38-46.png|M1 and M2 outputs]] on the physical RoboPad, and two output ports - &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;M1 armed&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039; and &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;M2 armed&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;, that emit signals once M1 and M2 are armed, as explained under the [[IO Config Editor#IO Units|Built-in H-Bridge Motor]] Actuator IO Unit.&lt;br /&gt;

The input and output ports of the Chip Node are configured on the [[IO Config Editor|IO Configuration Editor Page]]. &amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;It is advised that before you start to change the IO configuration of the RoboPad, you first get to grips with the default IO Configuration&amp;#039;&amp;#039;&amp;#039;.&lt;br /&gt;
